Fall workday October 22, 2011

We had a great turnout on a beautiful day to plant shrubs, plant
flowers, pour sidewalks, and plant grass.

Many "green thumbs" were steadily at work

There was plenty of work to do, so while some planted shrubs,
others finished up the concrete.

Mulch was added to help "pretty up" the landscape.

-and some supervised while others worked! Ha! You'll notice the
supervisor's shirt is stained with sweat! A well deserved break!

Five foot wide sidewalks were added from the parking lot.

Yes, that concrete is still wet, and no human or doggy footprints
were added. That's a miracle!

We're all going to enjoy the shrubs.

We had the right equipment, many rakes, hoes, and mechanized
machinery!

Grass is being mixed so that we'll have a good "blend" of grass.

We even had pansies for everyone to plant so that they'd
feel a part in this terrific project.

Homecoming! Oct 16, 2011

We held our first homecoming/old fashioned day in our new building on Sunday Oct 16, 2011. It was a beautiful day, and the morning service was outstanding. We were blessed to have one of our missionaries here to bring the morning message, and another member of his church in Haiti sang a very special song in Creole. It brought tears to many eyes! We then had "dinner on the grounds" outside enjoying the gorgeous day. As always, there was more than enough food to go around.

Our pastor making introductions.

Choir singing, remember this is old fashioned Sunday!

Our very special speaker for the day, one of the national
missionaries
that we help to support.

Dinner under the tent.

Look at that gorgeous sky!!

Lots of food! And there were more tables than this!
